Position Purpose:

Provides a full range of human resources guidance and advisory support and services to our business units in the UK and Ireland through a business partner model with Stericycle middle management. HR services include Employee relations and employment law issues, performance management, organizational design, recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, and interpretation of policies, procedures and practices.  

 

Working with other members of the HR department, recommend, develop, and maintain Human Resources and Employee communications. The HRBP also supports the implementation of global and Europe-wide projects and initiatives, including Employee Surveys, the annual performance and merit review processes as well as compensation, bonus, rewards and recognition programs. The HRBP also develops and supports people management strategies, actions and initiatives to ensure they are in line with the company’s Mission, Vision and Values.  

 

The HRBP is expected to enhance the image of the HR function with a professional, proactive, customer focused approach, both internally and externally, and assist in the overall growth and expansion of Stericycle.

Key Job Activities:

Lead, coach and develop managers and staff within the designated region.

 

Strategic HR management support in relation to absence management, performance management and capability issues.  Promote and ensure best practice is adhered to in line with procedural guidelines.

 

Employee Relations management and related support encompassing the implementation and development of “good practice” guidelines, company policies and terms of employment.

 

Support the implementation of organization changes, including providing input to the review of various organization designs, documenting position descriptions, developing compensation recommendations and rolling out the changes.

 

Support management with compensation and reward and recognition programs.

 

Coordinate implementation of Annual Employee Survey; provide support to management in the interpretation of results and the development and implementation of action plans.

 

Lead or provide input to the development of new HR policies, procedures or programs and assist with specific Human Resources initiatives as required (e.g., changes in local legislation).

 

Produce monthly reports for HR and Management Team and provide input to various Workforce Reporting initiatives.

 

Provide input into recruitment strategies and direct support in recruitment.

 

Support with the effective management of organisational, acquisitional and system changes within the business.

Education:

Preferred Education: in Human Resources or Human Resources

University/College undergraduate degree required.

Specialized HR training (e.g., post graduate HR college program) and CIPD certification is required.

Experience (EMEAA):

Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a Human Resources environment.

Experience with a North America based international organization, with operations in the US, UK and Western Europe is preferred.

Computer skills, including MS Office (EXCEL WORD, POWERPOINT & OUTLOOK) & HRIS (e.g., SAP Human Capital Management)

Demonstrated experience in a “business partner” HR model.

Detailed knowledge of and practical experience in current UK employment legislation and employee relations is required.

Experience with previous TUPE transfers is preferred.

Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize & meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast paced and changing environment.

Demonstrated project management experience.

Demonstrated coaching and advisory experience.

Detailed knowledge of theory, trends and progressive practices in HR.

Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

Ability to work independently, including specific research projects.
