Job Description

The Retention Pricing Specialst in sales will be responsible for approving final pricing services, quoted vs. actual delivered and will serve as the liason between Retention Sales Representatives and SQ Sales and Marketing Operations teams. This position establishes, maintains and analyzes price reference documentation, and makes recommendations facilitating optimal pricing decisions by the SQ Retention Sales Team and working within established guidelines.

This role will also serve as a key point of contact on helping to establish pricing principles for the account retention team.
1. Work with Sales Leaders, Sales Operations and Marketing to develop, implement and maintain service price strategies for the Retention sales organization within the small quantity (SQ) business.
• Coordinate proposal development with Sales managers and Sales associate to improve offer strategy
• Maintain and organize baseline price information in Salesforce.com including analyzing and reporting on inconsistencies, and identifying opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through offer strategies and updates to pricing tools.
• Monitor and update sales team pricing models with empowerment ranges (to include periodic cross-functional reviews) on a monthly or quarterly basis.
• Coach sales associates on negotiation technique and process.

2. Ongoing:
• Provide regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting for management.
• Complete or recommend pricing on large (including multi-site) or complex sales opportunities; communicate structured rationale for the pricing of each deal.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as required.

3. Other:
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements

• Education equivalent to Bachelor’s degree Business or the equivalent in related work experience.
• Four or more years of sales and negotiations experience.
• Demonstrates strong analytical (quantitative and qualitative) and problem-solving skills. Must be able to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports and projections. Must be able to effectively present financial information and analysis to management and senior leadership.
•Excellent computer skills required. Requires expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Power Point.
• Experience with Salesforce.com-embedded Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) tools preferred.
•Excellent math skills and strong attention to detail are required to be successful in this position.
• Demonstrates knowledge of contracting.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and negotiation skills.
