Job Description

*Note- This position can be based out of any major US City (IE, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Boston, New York City)

We are currently seeking a VP of National Sales for our Environmental Solutions business. This highly visible role will be mission critical in driving sales results across our hazardous waste business. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of Environmental Solutions Sales strategy, which includes the go-to-market sales strategy and the commercial strategy nationally for our M&I hazardous Waste enterprise and National Accounts teams. Develops, communicates and executes the sales strategy to advance the organization’s overall plan. Responsible for Sales, new business strategies driving growth, profit and loss management, and the overall enterprise. Executes the LRP and departmental plans and priorities to meet short and long-term growth targets. Communicates progress towards goals and takes corrective actions when necessary to achieve targets. Monitors trends to address and resolve issues affecting results.

-Selects, trains, and develops an effective and efficient sales team.

-Develops and implements sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth and hit LRP targets related to Expert services. Reviews team resources and priorities and allocates appropriately to drive maximum business growth.

-Coordinates, develops, implements and manages appropriate systems for tracking relevant metrics for all Expert and Environmental Commercial strategies. Adjusts tools and reporting strategy as needed to meet business goals and objectives.

-Develop and maintain senior level relationships with key customers.

-Oversees the sales team and mentors the team on major presentations. Participate in Customer site visits and develop comprehensive strategic sales plans and processes with large, complex clients. Develop and assist Sales in delivering customized proposals and pricing programs.

-Represents company values and effectively communicates with Senior Management & Executives internally and with Customers, Partners and Trade Associations.

-Develop and implement sales/pipeline metrics and data analysis to support and drive the business. Deliver monthly and quarterly information to key customers and Stericycle management.

Job Requirements

Education equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field, or the equivalent in related work experience, proving a demonstrated ability in the identification, deployment, and ongoing management of business system.  Master’s Degree is preferred.

Ten or more years of related experience, including six or more years of management experience, demonstrating strong managerial and administrative skills. 

Proven ability to manage sales teams and set-up commercial metrics and reporting strategies. 

Demonstrates experience in Performance Management of employees. 

Demonstrates previous planned organizational improvement accomplishments

Can demonstrate from previous experience capability in negotiating detailed commercial contracts.

Strong leadership and communication skills. Able to lead complex and demanding projects while managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.

Excellent report writing and presentation skills. Comfortable operating at CEO level and representing the Group at high levels.
