Position Purpose:

The Marketing Manager, Go-to-Market (GtM) Strategy and Execution is a key member of the Stericycle Marketing and Strategy department.  This individual will work closely with Marketing, Marketing Operations, and Sales Operations on strategic initiatives that include developing go-to-market strategies and driving the associated business planning processes.  This individual will work on challenging and often ambiguous projects, and must draw upon solid analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to be successful.  This position will be allowed flexibility to work a hybrid/remote schedule based at home and in the office. May work from our Bannockburn, IL or downtown Chicago, IL office.

 

The ideal candidate will have a firm understanding of go-to-market principles, including segmentation frameworks, selling motions, sales execution imperatives, and tactics to drive share acquisition.  They will also have experience in commercial planning, creating revenue plans driven by factors such as headcount, service mix, and sales rep productivity.

 

The Marketing Manager, GtM Strategy and Execution will be a self-starter with exceptional communication and organizational skills, outstanding analytical skills, and the foresight to anticipate business needs.  They will drive toward simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, strong financial acumen, and be able to communicate complex strategies or analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.

 

This position will be allowed flexibility to work a hybrid/remote schedule based at home and in the office. May work from our Bannockburn, IL or downtown Chicago, IL office.

The Responsibilities:


•    Lead Stericycle’s commercial intelligence efforts related to market sizing, segmentation, and whitespace, with a specific focus on Enterprise customers (hospitals / IDNs and national healthcare)
•    Drive the Enterprise data strategy, including assessing and managing spend across multiple data sources (e.g., Definitive Healthcare, Dun & Bradstreet, ZoomInfo)
•    Leverage commercial intelligence and partner with Enterprise Marketing to develop customer targeting and acquisition strategies
•    Partner with Sales Operations related to territory planning and headcount allocation to align with commercial intelligence
•    Conduct market research to improve commercial understanding of trends in the hospital and national healthcare markets to inform commercial priorities, marketing plans & tactics, and selling strategies
•    Lead critical business projects and implementation of strategic initiatives to meet our growth objectives, working in close partnership with leaders across the Commercial organization
•    Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Education and Experience :

•    Bachelor's degree
•    8+ years experience in a marketing, sales operations, finance, or analytics role, preferably in a B2B services environment
•    Experiencing managing junior team members

Licenses and Required Competencies:

•    Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to leverage data to guide business decisions, including analyzing multiple data points, effectively interpreting results, visualizing data, and concisely presenting a recommendation
•    Experience working with internal sales data as well as external market data sources, such as Definitive Healthcare, ZoomInfo, and Dun & Bradstreet
•    Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM tools
•    Excellent Excel skills required
•    Comfortable using Alteryx and/or Tableau to manage large datasets and working with junior team members to guide analyses
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills are imperative, with experience in preparing executive-level updates for senior management. Strong Powerpoint skills required
•    Outstanding project management skills, with the ability to build solid cross-functional relationships, collaborate with, and influence others
•    Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to changing priorities
