Job Description


The District Sales Manager is a member of Shred-its leadership team, responsible for the overall sales effort and effectiveness of the sales professionals in order to achieve the sales objectives of the district. The District Sales Manager participates in setting the strategic direction and provides input to long and short-term budget planning for the district. The District Sales Manager is responsible for coaching his/her direct reports to optimize their personal performance and individual development.
Key Job Activities
SALES RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate in developing the operating plans and ensure sales activities support these plans
• Participate in the definition of the longer term potential in the district
• Develop and implement strategies for profitable expansion to new markets and support the implementation of acquisitions, and strategic partnerships
• Allocate targets and quotas and manage the performance of sales professionals
• Manage sales activity and results
• Establish personal relationships with all key customers in the region
• Ensure customer retention across the district meets or exceeds corporate standards
• Recruit, train and develop talent

Job Requirements


Education and Experience Required:
• Undergraduate degree (Business Studies preferred)
• Five (5) years of business-to-business sales experience
• Three (3) years of sales management experience
• Valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel within a defined territory
• Experience with budget management
• Demonstrated successful leadership of a multiple branch environment
