Job Description


Manages the global Human Resources Systems for the organization and ensures accuracy in processing and legal compliance. Ensures the accurate and timely development, implementation, maintenance, and coordination of all systems on an ongoing basis. Responsible for senior level project management, development, and analysis regarding Stericycle’s HR Information Systems. Continually strive to improve the efficiency of our human resources systems operations.
Key Job Activities:
1) Oversees and ensures the accurate administration of the Human Resources Information systems:
• Monitor HR systems to ensure it functions properly. Continue to build HR systems to drive proactive functionality and reporting.
• Assist each HR functional area (Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management) with file set ups, testing and implementation of modules, interfaces, upgrades, tables, etc.
• Establish procedures and documentation required to standardize and record personnel transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform configuration.
• Provide training as required or requested.
2) Oversees and ensures data integrity of the systems:
• Periodically audit the data components to ensure data integrity within the system.
• Work with HR teams to update and correct the data as necessary and to identify the root causes of inaccuracies.
• Work with internal audit as required or requested.
3) Manages HR Systems projects. Identify system improvement opportunities as well as functional process changes to minimize system complexity and optimize efficiency of the various HR Systems applications.
• Research, recommend, and implement system enhancements.
• Responsible for development and monitoring project plan and project communication.
• Assesses project risk assessments.
• Utilizes functional experts, end users, internal IT staff, and external HR Systems support functions to ensure processes are in control and systems provide accurate information to internal and external customers.
• Ensures all parts of project are documented and communicated such as requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, project plans, policies, procedures, new standards, status and training.
• Evaluates change controls provided by HR Systems vendors and costs associated with these for reasonableness.
• Works closely with other parts of the organization, as necessary, to ensure all tasks are completed.
• Develop and implement data management strategies, including data auditing, cleansing and ownership.
• Brings recurring issues to manager’s attention and assists in providing direction/suggestions to the resolution of problems.
4) Software Upgrades/Interfaces
• Coordinate software enhancements.
• Manages the development, modifications, and enhancements of inbound/outbound interfaces and SQRs between the Human Resource Information Systems and 3rd party vendors.
• Act as the point of contact and project manager with any implementations or upgrades.
• Assist the appropriate areas on data requirements, implementation or changes.
• Provide test plans and test cases.
• Validate and review all testing processes.
5) Selects, trains, and develops an effective and efficient staff
6) Performs other related duties or projects as required or requested.

Job Requirements


• Education equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Information Technology, or the equivalent in related work experience
• Seven or more years of HR Information Systems experience
• Very strong SuccessFactors experience
• Strong SAP (ECC) – HR experience
• Three or more years of management/supervisory experience required, demonstrating the ability to plan and supervise the work of others. Five or more years of project management experience, preferably in an HR systems/payroll environment, demonstrating the ability to lead and manage complex, potentially long-term projects.
• Strong Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Core HR, Talent Management, and Learning systems experience desired.
