Job Description


Position Purpose:

This role is responsible for reporting, financial insight and decision-making support to the Sales Operations leadership and management team through detailed analysis and reporting of customer data.  In addition, the Sr. Analyst will be responsible for conducting detailed analysis into forecast to actual variances, financial performance and trending analysis into the Sales Key Performance Indicators for the organization. The role is responsible for providing advanced analytical and financial insight to support the Sales organization in business planning and day to day decision-making In addition, the individual will conduct research into performance using industry Best Practices along with data mining to identify opportunities for improvement in reporting, profitability and customer initiatives



Activities

Performs in-depth, quantitative and qualitative analysis of customer data to identify trends, measure performance, and improve our understanding of the business. Proposes new technical enhancements or efficiencies that coincide with and fully support the overall business.  Assists in efforts to increase reporting efficiency and effectiveness, including documenting deliverables, project plan and communication. 

Performs detailed profitability analysis for the business. Leveraging detailed business knowledge to understand and present findings to support business initiatives and improve processes and performance. Utilizes extensive business relationships with key stakeholders to discuss and focus on improving key business challenges and improve overall sales results. Utilizing key strategies for influencing business decisions to improve sales performance and customer experience. Develops clear action plans to champion results.

Dissects information to identify potential causes for performance fluctuations. Works closely with extended departments (finance, IT, marketing, customer service and operations) to prepare and produce specific reporting needs that will drive performance standards and improvements. Takes feedback and works independently or part of a larger cross functional team to drive actions and deliverables.

Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis to support the Sales Organization. Works closely with finance to build financial reporting dashboards to provide visibility and clarity into performance. Identifies core areas for improvement and implements strategies to achieve key performance targets.

Works closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service and Operations to prepare and present sales operations data for strategic project management initiatives.

Works with the business to learn new software platforms. Utilizing knowledge in creating presentations, technical solutions, Salesforce support along with IT related projects. Acts as a Business lead in championing Sales Operations led initiatives.

Job Requirements



Education and Experience Required (including certifications and/or software requirements for the position):

Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics or related field.  Three to five years experience in sales operations or performing financial, marketing, or statistical analysis or equivalent related work experience.

The candidate should possess advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills. In addition, the candidate should have the advanced ability to write code in SQL.

The candidate must also have demonstrated strong analytical experience, including diagnostic and data validation skills, demonstrating independent problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
