Title:  Business Analyst

Position Purpose:

The Business Analyst Capital Planning will create business cases to support all real estate, facility, technology and capital or lease requests. The position will refine our financial model to ensure consistent and reliable analysis to ensure optimal alternatives are selected. The position will collaborate with and consume data from key stakeholders including operations, real estate, engineering, sales and finance in order to create senior level executive project summaries.

The position is also integral in developing the 5 and 10-year Long Range Capital Plan to improve our ability to operate more effectively, level load projects, and ensure proper vehicle and equipment needs are met in advance.  

Additionally, this position will aid in collecting and consolidating base information once a year for every facility, including general statistics about each facility, local headcount, capacity, processes, equipment and additional data points.

Key Job Activities:
  • Gather and analyze data, validate data accuracy, articulate and present alternative scenarios in a user-friendly format to provide creative solutions and/or insightful analysis.  Make recommendations for business cases regarding facility closures, relocations, and capex expenditures
  • Ability to pull data and information from a variety of sources, including from systems and people
  • Question the status quo; act like a small business owner and decide what you would do if you owned the business
  • Support and/or coordinate day-to-day and monthly reporting and analysis requests
  • Presents formal project updates as required using tools such as Word, Excel, and MS Powerpoint.
Education:
Required Education: in Bachelors or Equivalent
Experience (North America & LATAM):
Required Years of Experience: 2-4
