Position Purpose:

The Business Systems Analyst II IT provides functional and technical support for various business units utilizing the Coupa & Concur platforms.   In support of Coupa & Concur, the Business Systems Analyst II IT, supports the SAP,  Coupa and Concur integration areas and systems through the design and implementation of existing and new business functionalities. In addition, this role will establish standards and requirements to evaluate and direct enhancements and implement solutions related to Coupa, Concur and SAP STP, T&E areas across enterprise-wide Stericycle. 

 

Designs and develops Source to Pay requirements and specifications to ensure systems and solutions are meeting corporate needs linking with Best Practice solutions and compliance. Supports the Coupa system, administers Con-cur and accountable for projects, enhancements, development, configuration, documentation, testing, training, go-live and on-going support within the Source to Pay (STP) and T&E areas according to Best Practices and supporting company business strategy and roadmap. 
 

Key Job Activities:

  • Provides expertise for process and solutions related to Coupa & Concur and integrations to both SAP and non-SAP tools. 
  • Develops and analyzes business requirements and translates them into designs, prototypes. Testing, training and support procedures.
  • Partners closely with team members in procurement, invoicing, sourcing, vendor management, accounting related to procurement, receipts and expense management
  • Provides oversite and review of configuration by system integration partners
  • Understands business processes, systems configuration, enhancements and data or enables related processes.
  • Works with business counterparts on delivering solutions based on Best Practices, business processes and Coupa expertise.
  • Creates documentation for various stages of planning, design, implementation and support of Coupa & Concur services.
  • Participates in weekly team meetings and internal initiatives to review outstanding issues and/or to discuss new trends or projects
  • Provide training, mentorship and ongoing support of Coupa & Concur and related interfaces to IT and business stakeholders.
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested

Contacts (Internal/External):    
Works with others within IT to ensure all local end-users, as well as facility users are able to perform their job functions properly during and after large-scale network upgrades or new installations.  This team member is in constant contact with outside vendors for solution progress and to ensure projects are on time/budget

Makes decisions/recommendations regarding the designs and configuration of soft-ware and network systems to be installed. 

Education:

Required Education: in Bachelors or Equivalent

Experience (North America):

A Bachelor’s Degree is required in the area of specialty (Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Technology. MBA a plus).   Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. 

  • At least 5 years of Coupa experience with progressive responsibility and influence.
  • In Addition, at least 3 years of SAP and 2-3 years of Concur experience preferred
  • At least 2 full cycles of Coupa implementation projects with hands-on project experience designing, test-ing and implementing those solutions 
  • Knowledge working with Global Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Vendor Management, Accounts payable in an international environment
  • Experienced working on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring technical or in-dustry knowledge. 

 

Business Systems Analyst II specifics: 

  • Technology knowledge of major applications, middleware and platforms
  • Understanding of business processes and solutions
  • Understanding of integration points of Coupa with SAP SD/FI/MM/PP and other modules, and Concur integration with SAP FI
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of Coupa solutions for business programs/projects
  • Provide training, mentorship and ongoing support of Coupa & Concur solutions and best practices to IT and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal and able to effectively operate with VP level executives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to work with teams that are geographically distributed and work across different time zones.
  • Motivated by the desire to make a difference in the business, to work with a highly talented set of peers, and to work on interesting projects.
  • Technically competent; able to supervise and inspire other team members.
  • Travel may be required.

 

Technical skills required: 

  • Experience in Coupa and integration to SAP required
  • Experience administering, configuring, implementing and maintaining Coupa solutions
  • Experience working with global strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, accounts payable, invoicing, receipts, expense management and integration with SAP Modules and non-SAP tools in an in-ternational environment.  

 

Technical skills preferred:

  • Experience in 3rd party software solutions
  • Certification in Coupa 
  • Experience in S/4 HANA 
  • Experience with Concur
