Title:  Dispatch Analyst

Position Purpose:

Responsible for measuring, implementing, training and deploying dispatch operating plans within assigned Regions, Districts and Facilities for all field Dispatchers - Improvement initiatives as assigned and dictated by business need.

Key Job Activities:

Partner with key business stakeholders to identify opportunities, present ideas, and make recommendations based upon analysis to further business goals. 

Works proactively with transportation Team Members, as well as all other functional operators to meet all customers’ expectations.  

Organize and analyze key reports used in the field to hold Dispatchers accountable to routing standards and goals. 

Ensures that the field dispatches the fewest required resources to minimize cost from trucks, miles and personnel and maintains optimum utilization of resources.

Monitors route and work productivity, reports on trends, and recommends changes to continually improve productivity and routing efficiency.  

Works closely with Field Dispatchers on implementation of recommended changes based on monthly action plan to address notable deficiencies. 

Daily or weekly meetings/calls partnering closely with facilities to discuss plans, standards and any other topic to improve performance to plan (based on need of facility). 

Work with Data personnel to ensure accurate data for new customers and reroutes. Review post route performance and make adjustments to service time, time windows, and geo-codes and standards.  

Demonstrate proficient knowledge of routing systems, reports, and route check-in process.

Demonstrates the ability to function independently; resolve problems without direction. 

May be required to travel to Stericycle sites as required by the Manager.  

 

Experience Required:

Education equivalent to College Degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or other related field, or equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating strong organizational and change management skills.   

Two to four years of relevant business or project management experience required, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.   

LEAN or Process Improvement Implementation experience in a multi-site setting preferred.

Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, Project, Visio, Outlook, and Access.

Demonstrates strong business vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills.

Education: Bachelors Degree
Required Education: in Bachelors or Undergraduate degree (Commerce, Business Studies and/or engineering)
