Position Purpose:

  • Responsible for designing, implementing, governing, maintaining, and evaluating the material / product master.
  • Must articulate and present complex data in a user-friendly format.
  • This role trains, coaches, and consults with functional process owners at Stericycle regarding material / product needs.
  • Once new materials are determined to be needed, this role is responsible for creating the bill of materials (BOM) as required.

Key Job Activities:

  • Accountable for the cross-functional teams to create material / product master attributes and train stakeholders (both internal and external) on the steps to create, modify, or inactivate materials in Master Data Governance (MDG).
  • Monitor the Service Now / Azzure Dev Ops (ADO) for tickets related to the material / product master and ensure they are handled appropriately within defined SLAs
  • Collaborate with business unit team members to identify requests for materials outside the standard process and recommend feasible solutions with stakeholders.
  • Monitor Service Now / Azzure Dev Ops (ADO) tickets that may require a bill of material (BOM) to be created.
  • Conduct semi-annual reviews of unused materials to ensure data accuracy.
  • Support broader process and procedure projects, including assistance with other business initiatives, acquisitions, and the implementation of D365 in different countries.

Experience (EMEAA):

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, supply chain management, or information technology.
  • Two or more years of experience leading master data governance initiatives in material / product master, transportation management, or distribution centre/warehouse management.
  • Good understanding of Business Systems – Microsoft D365, SAP, Salesforce, Descartes or similar Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
  • Foundational understanding of Product, Services, Supplies etc. master data creation / maintenance and the business processes around them.
  • Experience working with Microsoft D365 Data Governance or similar Data Governance tool or environment within the Material / Product Domain.
  • Partner with program process leadership to align on Business Process Design and Key Data Elements within the Material Master Domain space.
  • Experience converting data from Legacy ERP systems into Microsoft D365 platform
  • Coordinates the establishment of a Data Governance Council and acts as the Material / Product Master voice for business processes.
