Currently we are seeking a Director of Internal Communications (either based in Bannockburn, IL. or Indianapolis, IN.) with an entrepreneurial spirit to develop and implement communication strategy for corporate programs; act as key conduit for business unit communication needs to ensure cohesive messaging; evaluate and implement employee communications programs that provide timely information on a consistent basis. The Director of Internal Communications will demonstrate the ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, organized, and diplomatic manner; ask appropriate questions in order to obtain information; listen to others to respond effectively to ideas and questions.  Present prepared information to individual and groups in a manner that is clear and concise, holds their interest and addresses their needs or concerns. Additionally, they will need to possess the ability to manage own time, activities, and resources.  Identify specific activities required to accomplish objectives, rank them in order of importance, and coordinate and take action to achieve desired results.  Prioritize multiple activities and projects. 

The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead with strategic, short to midterm focus; translate strategic plans into operational plans and guide through execution. They will be able to demonstrate their ability to influence change through collaboration and persuasion; discuss information and opinions with others in a manner that leads to agreement or acceptance, and a sense of mutual gain. A demonstrated track record of success at an executive level performance as well as experience with implementing communication initiatives that scale to support multi-dimensional needs is a must.

 

Key Job Activities:

Drive corporate strategy and message development, pitch and announcement strategies across all business units.  Develop multi-channel communication programs and initiatives that increase employee engagement, meet strategic/transformational goals and promote corporate vision, priorities, values and cross business unit messaging.

Develop and institute multi-channel communication tools for broad distribution and usage; install

effective feedback elements to gather pulse data and increase employee engagement; implement

effective translation tools for global reach; include strong digital presence

Develop internal publications such as newsletters, releases, email announcements, planned publications, on-line, intranet, video, special projects and assignments; manage the distribution and

maintenance of materials and communication tools.

Translate strategic plans into operational plans and guide execution; develop, plan and lead large

Implementation plans for communication improvements; monitor budget.

Develop and producing corporate videos and the use of video technology to communicate with team members

Assist with communication training through corporate management development programs

Demonstrated track record of success at an executive level performance

Ability to lead with strategic, short to midterm focus; translate strategic plans into operational plans and guide through execution.

 

 

 

Education:
Experience (North America & LATAM):

 

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing/communications with leadership responsibility.
