Position Purpose:

Lead and control the development of a business management system suitable for certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and any other standards required to meet business needs. Manage the process for maintaining ISO certification, and obtaining ISO certification when necessary, with the objective of implementing a single integrated system and policies that align with corporate EHS policy and goals, and are ISO certified.   Assist with the development and implementation of EHS policies. 

Key Job Activities:

Coordinate the administration of the ISO management system, including control, translation and deployment of documentation across the Europe region, and its maintenance on a SharePoint platform.

Integrate the multiple ISO management systems in effect throughout Europe to achieve the ultimate objective of a single ISO certified system across the region, including the management and reduction in number of external certification providers.

Obtain and maintain ISO certifications for the management system with the support of EHS and other departments.

Evaluate the effectiveness of the ISO management systems, including monitoring trends in non-conformities, evaluating high level compliance, and planning and implementing system-wide corrective and preventative actions.

Support the EHS team in the development, implementation and improvement of EHS policies and training.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Quality or Environmental Discipline or the equivalent in a related work experience.

Experience (EMEAA):

7+ years of experience managing ISO programs across multiple countries.

Member of, or eligible for membership of a relevant professional institution (environmental, waste management, engineering etc.).

Demonstrates the ability to interpret and understand strategic objectives, and to develop and implement solutions to meet those objectives in both the short- and long-term.

Demonstrates the ability to direct, control and inspire the activities of a management team towards meeting objectives. Is able to monitor performance and provide feedback and coaching when required.

Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to understand complex requirements, and to interpret and successfully communicate those requirements, verbally and in writing.

Demonstrates the ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, organized and diplomatic manner; listen to others to respond effectively to ideas and questions.

Can speak Spanish or Portuguese.
