Position Purpose:

Primarily operating in an IT helpdesk capacity for Stericycle IT system users across Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa (EMEAA), with additional responsibility for some 2nd line computer support and IT maintenance duties, you’ll troubleshoot technical issues for colleagues from initial query through to final resolution or escalation. In addition, you’ll use your experience of providing support to suggest and help implement changes which will benefit the EMEAA IT support service. Occasionally you will also undertake site visits to complete IT maintenance or installations.

Key Job Activities:
  • Diagnosing software and hardware problems and assisting remotely, undertaking repairs and upgrades as required
  • Tracking, prioritising and documenting requests using our IT helpdesk system
  • Assisting in the installation and configuration of new computers and other IT equipment across the business
  • Building new computer equipment, as well as rebuilding existing hardware

With previous experience in a similar IT support environment which should include basic exposure to Active Directory and Windows Server, you should be educated to at least A level standard (or equivalent) with relevant IT qualifications such as CCNA/A+/MSCE and have excellent fault diagnosis and problem solving skills.

Often colleagues will have little comprehension of technical jargon, so you’ll need to be able to quickly get to grips with their issues and suggest ways of remedying them in a manner which they will understand and be able to action.
