Position Purpose:

The Inside Account Executive (IAE) will be responsible for driving new customer and existing customer growth within the UK SQ marketplace. Responsibilities will include driving an increase in customer sales revenues by the identification of profitable revenue growth opportunities within a portfolio of assigned Medwaste regional customers to achieve set targets. This will include both proactively and reactively targeting new customers across a range of vertical sectors.

New Customer acquisition activities will be focused on selling Stericycle services to new customers whilst identifying cross and up sell opportunities for Medwaste services. Account Management activities will be directed primarily towards the growth, contract renewal and retention of the revenue within assigned portfolios. This will be supported by managing ongoing relationships and liaising between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our services according to customer needs.

The Internal Account Executive role will work closely with our field based Account Managers and is expected to support on managing sales enquiries from several ‘Independent’ customer accounts whilst driving activity on their own portfolios and new customer prospects aiming to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability and reduce debt.

Key Job Activities:
  1. Manage existing client relationships by communicating, either by phone or email, to facilitate growth, and using the sales process and defined pricing and policies of Stericycle in order to maximise growth potential and reduce revenue losses in the assigned customer base in line with company expectations. Support credit control function with managing debt & handle critical escalations associated to service delivery & invoicing.
  2. Manage new business acquisition by making and taking new client communications, either by phone or email, to facilitate net new account growth. Dealing with inbound warm leads and where required, making outbound calls to follow up on campaigns. Using the Medwaste Telesales process and defined pricing and policies of Stericycle to ensure all new customers are secured efficiently and in line with customer expectations.
  3. Works closely with immediate local and inside sales colleagues, sales and marketing leadership teams, as well as regional Operations, Client Services, IT, and other team members to enhance the service offering available to new customers & their existing portfolios
  4. Use SFDC and other company defined IT systems to effectively manage pipelines, report activity, track sales, send contracts to clients, book appointments and communicate both internally and externally in a professional manner. All records managed correctly in SFDC with information inputted accurately.
Experience (EMEAA):
  • Ability to demonstrate the use of basic sales skills especially but not limited to – listening, questioning, summarising, providing, negotiating, closing and handling customers concerns
  • Industry relevant sales experience is not essential
  • Demonstrable track record of driving sales growth in a tele sales new business or territory management role
  • Skilled in building and leveraging relationships over the phone,
  • Understands and uses good account management, communication, problem solving, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to work in a matrix environment working closely with Sales colleagues in internal, and regional teams as well as operations, marketing, sales operations, finance, bid team and safety and compliance to achieve the business’s goals
  • Able to understand Sales related IT systems (Salesforce.com) and use them effectively to manage pipelines and sales activity
