Position Purpose:

The Social Value Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating Stericycle’s social value programme across UK & Ireland, including working with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for delivering social value, managing requests for social value contributions and volunteering activities, plus measuring and tracking progress against social value commitments and targets. 

Key Job Activities:

  • Maintain social value tracker(s) to record commitments made and social value delivered, monitor progress against targets, and ensure up-to-date accuracy.
  • As required, support the preparation of reports on social value metrics for the Social Value Committee and key stakeholders to ensure visibility on social value performance.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of social value initiatives, ensuring they are delivered within time and budget constraints.
  • Evaluate requests for social value contributions and volunteering activities against eligibility criteria to ensure they align with our core values and business needs.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Social Value Champions and team members to identify opportunities to deliver social value in the local community.
  • Assist bid management team to provide relevant examples and data on social value to support commercial tenders.
  • Work with Marketing & Communications to promote awareness of social value initiatives and successes, both internally and externally.
  • Responsible for making social value contribution payments, including vendor set up and raising Purchase Orders as required.
  • Lead regular meetings with social value champions from across the business to share updates, discuss upcoming plans and gather feedback to provide insight for improvements.
  • Support project administration, including collating required documents and proof of performance for validation and audit purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with social value policies (internal and external).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • Required Education:  High School or equivalent
  • Demonstrate effective project management skills.
  • Demonstrate effective organization and time management skills. 
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to track and report data.
  • Demonstrate an ability to build relationships with key members of the business.
  • Demonstrate both verbal and written communication skills.
  • Limited travel may be required from time to time. 
  • Demonstrate an ability to present information and data clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrate a polite, professional and respectful manner at all times.
