Position Purpose:

Stericycle is looking for a Service Manager who will be managing all transport operational activities at our Knostrop site, ensuring the effective utilisation of vehicles & service delivery, the management of customer expectations in a compliant and Customer 1st manner. To ensure the continued delivery of a timely and accurate service to all customers – this will involve the effective use of resources and manpower available.

Key Job Activities:
  • Review transport routes regularly to ensure efficient/effective use of vehicles and drivers.
  • Plan daily routes for drivers
  • Manage the site Administrator and any other staff who report directly to you.
  • Deputise for General Manager if required and be flexible to travel and attend/cover at other locations across the UK.
  • Driver planning and Management, ensuring the Newcastle site is at optimal headcount consistently
  • Attend National Service Manager’s meetings
  • Working in line with Company Service Operating Procedures and ensuring customer service levels are maintained
  • Payroll, overtime, absence management and working time directive
  • Stock Management
  • Raise and control Proactis orders
  • Review driving license details
  • Digital Tacho Control
  • Vehicle Management
  • Monitor and act upon Salesforce cases within company guidelines
  • Liaise with customers & account managers

 

Experience (EMEAA):
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Proven Leadership skills with teams of drivers and warehouse operatives.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a CPC within set time frame.
  • Good knowledge of information technology especially Microsoft Office (Work, Excel and Power Point)
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • LGV license would be advantageous.
  • ADR license would be advantageous.
