Position Purpose:

Lead and control the development of a business management system suitable for certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and any other standards required to meet business needs. Manage the processes for policy, procedure and associated training program development and integration across the EMEAA region. Manage the process for obtaining and maintaining ISO certification. All with the objective of implementing a single integrated system and programs that align with corporate EHS policy and goals, and are ISO certified.

Key Job Activities:

To design, develop and maintain the ISO management system structure for the EMEAA region.

 

To integrate the multiple ISO management systems in effect throughout EMEAA to achieve the ultimate objective of a single ISO certified system across the region. Including the management of and reduction in number of external certification providers.

 

To co-ordinate the administration of the ISO management system, including control, translation and deployment of documentation across the EMEAA region, and its maintenance on a SharePoint platform.

 

To support other EHS teams in the development, implementation and improvement of EHS policies, procedures and training programs.

 

To obtain and maintain ISO certifications for the management system; with the support of other EHS teams.

 

To develop and lead the ISO programs team members that report to them and develop their professional skills through coaching, mentoring and training.

 

To evaluate the effectiveness of the ISO management systems. Including monitoring trends in non-conformities, evaluating high level compliance, and planning and implementing system-wide corrective and preventative actions.

 

To co-ordinate the provision of EHS training programs. Including maintenance of the training matrix, ensuring training programs are aligned with corporate goals and with ISO management system procedures, administration of training content.

 

Provide regulatory support for active acquisitions or divestments.

 

Perform other related duties as required or requested. 

Education:

Experience (North America & LATAM):

Education equivalent to bachelor’s degree in a Science, Healthcare, Quality or Environmental Discipline, or the equivalent in related work experience.

Experience (EMEAA):

Preferred Experience:   Broad extensive knowledge of theories and techniques of a function.

 

Years of management experience preferred:   5-7 years.

 

Member of, or eligible for membership of a relevant professional institution (environmental, waste management, engineering etc). Holds a valid motor vehicle license.

Demonstrates the ability to manage own time, activities, and resources.  Identify specific activities required to accomplish objectives, rank them in order of importance, and coordinate and take action to achieve desired results.  Prioritize multiple activities and projects.
