Position Purpose:

Working as a key member of the Brand & PR Team within the Marketing & Strategy department, this role will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team by planning, developing and implementing effective public relations and brand management programs for the Healthcare Compliance Solutions (HCS), Shred-it (SIT) and Environmental Solutions (ESol) business units. They will also offer additional public relations support for the Commercial Go-to-Market teams. The Brand & PR Associate will contribute to managing company image and reputation in order to achieve our marketing goals; and will be accountable for carrying out tactics consistent with the company’s strategic goals and priorities, and in consultation with the Brand & PR Director. 

Key Job Activities:

Public Relations
•Align PR content/themes with the greater editorial content calendars for the HCS, Shred-it and ESol business units.
•Manage the development of PR content/collateral – i.e. bylines, infographics, whitepapers, microsites, etc. and ensure a thorough review and editing process and stakeholder alignment
•Liaise with PR agency to coordinate PR activities such as media pitching, issuing press releases, paid media opportunities, and crisis management
•Project manage PR original research and integrated marketing campaigns (i.e. pr, social campaign, display campaigns, webinars etc.) with various stakeholders 
•Develop and launch the annual Shred-it Data Protection Report and manage all aspects of the project from survey development and media analysis to providing direction alongside the Brand & PR director, on all tactics supporting the integrated marketing campaign
•Track and measure PR program performance on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis and adjust programs as needed to meet targets
•Compile internal wrap reports to communicate results of all campaigns and initiatives
•Provide media spokesperson support reviewing briefing documents and organizing media interviews
•Coordinate requests for internal approvals, graphics, logos, bios, photography and other needs.
•Manage and update the PR statistics library quarterly.
•Coordinate efforts for brand activations or other media events including: promo/advertising materials, logistics, digital and social requirements
•Assist with brand awareness surveys and provide actionable recommendations on brand positioning and brand activities
•Help manage reputation: review or compile media reports, monitor to identify any issues and/or criticism of the company’s brand or services, and document and resolve issues in a timely, accurate and professional manner.

Education:
Preferred Education: in Bachelor`s Degree or Marketing
Experience:

Bachelor's or college degree in a marketing discipline or equivalent work experience.
2-3+ years experience in a marketing or agency role, preferably in PR within a B2B services environment
Experience managing and working with external agencies, consultants and vendors.
Proficient in program or project management with effective time and priority management skills; ability to work independently, and manage multiple projects.
Strong computer skills are required, including advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast paced environment. 
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgement and decision-making skills.
