Position Purpose

The Sr. Marketing Operations Specialist is a key role within the Stericycle Go-to-market team, serving as a subject matter expert on digital marketing and marketing automation technology optimization and process development. The Sr. Marketing Operations Specialist can work from our Illinios or Canada office location! 

This role is responsible for leading the administration, optimization and expansion of Stericycle’s Marketing Automation tools and corresponding process development. The Sr. Marketing Operations Specialist will have experience operating Marketing technology platforms with a proven track record expanding capabilities of these platforms to support Digital and Sales engagement efforts.



Key Job Activities:

- Manages the day-to-day operations of the Marketing Automation Platform (Pardot/Eloqua) and call tracking platform (Invoca), and supports marketing campaign execution efforts through those platforms
- Supports the evaluation, planning, recommendation and implementation of Marketing automation and technology stack integrations and capability enhancements to support Sales and Marketing processes
- Partners closely with the Digital Marketing, Sales and IT Teams to manage and implement new features and capabilities related to Marketing program engagement lead flow processes
- Creates and maintain process flow and journey mapping documentation (i.e. website visit through to sales)
- Develops and manages regulatory compliance process design, adherence and documentation as it relates to Marketing & Sales systems (CASL, CAN SPAM, CCPA & GDPR)
- Supports the execution of email marketing campaigns within the Marketing Automation tools and recommends ways to improve program performance
- Supports the roll-out and development of Stericycle’s new website data capture and integration
- Enables the transition of Stericycle Marketing Automation technology readiness and systems through Stericycle’s ERP roll-out
- Presents insights and recommendations identified (as required) in a clear manner, that will inform the strategies of the commercial marketing team to accelerate growth
- Other initiatives and programs as required



- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, IT, or other related field or the equivalent in related work experience
- 4+ years’ experience in a digital marketing or automation specialist role, preferably in a B2B services environment, with increasing responsibility
- 2+ years’ experiencing leveraging Marketing Automation and Digital engagement platforms with a proven track record driving impact
- Familiarity with content management systems (Adobe suite)
- Working knowledge of Salesforce (CRM) and it’s suite of products and how to enable sales to work within those systems
- Familiarity with BI and visualizations tools such as Tableau and Power BI
- Pardot or equivalent Marketing Automation Platform certification preferred
- Excellent process and system documentation skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts in an effective and articulate manner
- Prior experience working on a fast paced, high impact team
