Position Purpose:

To audit healthcare customer waste to ensure that it is segregated in accordance with legal requirements and is suitable for acceptance for treatment and disposal.  To review submitted healthcare customer waste audits to ensure that waste is segregated in accordance with legal requirements.  To provide training, advice and support on waste segregation to customers and team members as required.

Key Job Activities:

To undertake healthcare waste customer waste pre-acceptance audits and produce reports in accordance with legal requirements following the company process

To review third party healthcare waste customer pre-acceptance audits in accordance with legal requirements following the company process and report.

To provide advice and training including waste technical assessment to healthcare waste customers in support of waste segregation, packaging and compliance in accordance with environmental regulatory agency guidance.

To undertake audits of healthcare waste customer waste at Stericycle facilities in accordance with legal requirement and report to the operational and commercial team on the level of compliance as well as present findings to customer where requested.

To provide advice and training to healthcare waste customers in support of waste segregation, packaging and compliance in accordance with environmental regulatory agency guidance

Completion of duty of care audits at disposal vendor sites to maintain Stericycle duty of care compliance

To support the administration of the waste pre-acceptance process.

Education:

Required Education:  High School or equivalent.

Experience (EMEAA):

Required: Auditing qualification/experience.

Preferred: Waste auditing experience.

Excellent understanding of healthcare waste management including segregation, packaging and consignment.

Good understanding of healthcare waste environmental regulatory guidance.

Good commercial and operational awareness.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Certifications and/or Licenses:

Drivers Licence
