Position Purpose:

The employee shall perform such duties and exercises as normally associated with, incidental and ancillary to, and in a manner consistent with, the position of Major Account Executive, LQ, including responsibilities that span all the medical waste services that Stericycle Canada offers to Large Quantity (LQ) and Sharps Management Services (SMS) customers.  

This position is responsible for expanding the Company’s business within pre-assigned territories. This position is accountable for achieving sales goals through the acquisition and development of new customers and expansion of the product line within the existing customer base.  

Key Job Activities:

Without limiting the foregoing, during employment hereunder, the Employee shall:

  • Identify prospective clients that generate the following waste streams or require related reverse logistics services: Medical and biological waste.
  • Focuses on new markets and new business development initiatives through the implementation of comprehensive sales and marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Maintains and increases revenue while managing the entire sales cycle, including, but not limited to, prospecting, maintenance, proposals, contracts, price increases, bids, and contract renewals.  Implements new strategies to maximize revenue and profits through the maintenance and penetration of existing customers as well as seeking out and closing new business opportunities.
  • Manage cross selling initiatives (selling of other Stericycle Business Units offerings) within current and future Healthcare Compliance Solutions Division customers.
  • Provides overall support & leadership within the Corporate Accounts Division specifically related to New Hire Training, Subject Mater Expert Content, Pricing Guidance, Organization, and Team Leadership.
  • Serves as Corporate Account liaison to customers and Stericycle’s operations.  Coordinates communication and resolves problems through collaboration between the field sales group and the District Manager, Facility Manager, ES&H Manager, their staff, Corporate personnel, etc. 
  • Oversees the maintenance of current and prospective database customer information (contract dates, PI schedules, special state addendums, competitive pricing models, volume history, frequency of service offerings, etc.).  Maintains customer profiles and account records through periodic sales calls to establish and build relationships. 
  • Ensure that the CRM system is kept up to date and used effectively to drive sales and support performance.
